Screenshotz

When it comes to screenshots, you can either use a specialized application, which may be expensive or hit the PrintScreen key and paste the screenshot in Paint or another similar software. Simply named Screenshotz, this application bridges the gap between special programs and relying on the operating system's functions. It allows you to take snapshots of your screen and crop them according to your needs.

Screenshotz is available in German and English and it comes in a very small package. The installation file is only 100 KB and it takes a single click to install the application, on a default path.

If you press the PrintScreen button, while the application is working in the background, your entire screen will be captured and loaded on a user interface. Once loaded, you can insert different values, on the right side of the window, to crop or rotate the image. Alternatively, you may click and drag a series of guide lines, to select your desired region.

The application includes a few predefined selections as well. You can select one from a drop menu and set it to portrait or landscape. It is also possible to save your selections and use them at a later date. When you are done, you can either copy the edited image to the clipboard or save it in JPG, BMP or PNG format.
